Should British citizens be allowed to own non-lethal self defense weapons?
I know that this idea may be a bit controversial as self defense is generally frowned upon in the UK and considered to be ‘not very British’, but I think that it is about time that this idea received some serious consideration from our Government because violent crime seems to be out of control at the moment in the country. The recent horrific murders of Banker Mr McGarahan, mum-to-be Claire Wilson and the two French students in London have once again made us painfully aware of the fact that anyone can suddenly find themselves in an unpleasant situation on Britain’s increasingly lawless streets where their life is suddenly in danger, often without any provocation or reason other than the fact that they were unlucky enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
