Britain’s Education Secretary is calling on the country’s biggest and wealthiest independent schools to do more to prove they benefit the wider community or risk losing their charitable status. “The original purpose of schools like Dulwich College was to educate the poor and private schools in general have lost that,” Alan Johnson has told the Telegraph. “They need to recapture it.
