Should Britain totally surrender any legislative power it possesses to the EU?
There may have been a good case for doing so when the EEC consisted of just the original seven western European countries. But definitely not now. The expansion of the EU to 27 states, mostly ex Soviet Bloc nations, and the allowance of free movement of populations between those 27 nationalities means it is not in UK’s interests to be part of the EU any more. Moreover there is now a strong probability of it further expanding to include Islamic nations like Turkey and northern Cyprus which will make it even more against our interests. All this was agreed when the Conservatives were in power in UK but subsequently strongly supported by Tony Blair’s New Labour government and the Lib-Dems without any suggestion from any of them for the populations of UK and other western European peoples to have a referendum, whatever falsification of fact they may be trying to make us believe today.
