Should blue slug pellets be banned in the uk to protect our bird species?

That’s a very good question, despite some of the answers….. I use a lot of slug pellets to protect my veg garden… Quite happy that they do the trick and killing off the slugs. However, I never gave thought that this could somehow effect the birds if they eat the dead slugs… I know, as someone stated that they rot away. But what happens in the meantime if the birds eat them. You have now encouraged me to look further into this and find some answers… Many Thanks.
