Should art classes be banned from schools or not?

If you want a well-rounded education, art classes should be a part of it. Yes, it costs money. So do science classes. I love both and took both. If you want to teach people to appreciate an aesthetic you need to be teaching them from a young age. And if you want to teach people to become visually creative (not just artists, but designers, architects, landscapers, etc.) you need to be teaching them while they are young. We need to encourage the arts at all ages. We need to be encouraging the teaching and exploration of EVERYTHING for our children- art, music, history, language, writing, mathematics, the sciences, et al. I missed out on some things because my high school was the poor one in the school district. In college (the first time) I was at an engineering school and art really wasn’t an option.
