Should all troublesome kids get put into private schools?
I’ve never heard of studies that showed that. It is true that those who are in prison or jail are more likely to have attended public schools, but that is because most of the people in jails come from low-income backgrounds, and thus had no choice but to go to public schools. Everything I have read says that wife-beaters come from all strata of society. It is just that those from the upper classes are less likely to go to jail for it. What this says is that it is not that the private schools are better at creating good behavior, but that money is a common factor between those who go to private schools and those who manage to stay out of legal consequences. Sending poor kids who are troublemakers to private schools wouldn’t turn them into well-behaved kids, since it wouldn’t change the underlying problem.
