Should all Brits boycott British Telecomm for there ant-Brit policies?
Timbo, as another person rightly points out the reason why you are having difficulty getting a job could well be because the way you write, and your poor spelling, does make you seem a bit careless and lazy in your outlook and attitude, employers looking for staff do notice that sort of thing, So when they assess you against others, you may well not be offered an interview compared with other applicants for the job you are trying for. But that said you make some very valid points and it is true that British Telecom like other employers do seem to prefer employing people from Asia to employing people from Great Britain primarily because wage costs in Asia are so much lower than wage costs are in Great Britain.Such petty British laws as “minimum wages” and “Health & Safety” and “Human Rights” which cost employers like British Telecom a lotn of money to comply with if they use Brits in the UK to man their call centres can be easily evaded by putting the call centre in some country in Asia
