Should Africans of European, Berber, or Arab descent be considered African-Americans?
We consider Kenyans, Ghanaians, Congolese and other savages of obvious negroid origin who immigrate to the USA to be “African-Americans”, and therefore entitled to the benefits of affirmative action and other programs. But when it comes to North African Caucasoid peoples such as Egyptians and Algerians, or Africans of European descent, such as white South Africans, white Zimbabweans, and white Angolans, these peoples are not considered to be “African-American”, even if they were born and raised on the continent of Africa or their African genealogical roots stretch back for many hundreds of years. The double standard is obvious: if the individual happens to be an African negro and immigrates to the USA, he is an “African-American”, but if a man is a Euro-African or a North African Caucasoid, this person has no right to consider himself an “African-American”, but must be classified as white/Caucasian (according to the US Census Bureau).
