Should Africa be semi re-colonised under a feasible mandate system to advance better governance?
In a way you are right – what Africa wants to do to become better off is either join the EU & keep its assimilation going, or set up one big African Union with no tariff barriers in which it can build up trade infrastructures of more distance-able scale. But consider the different outcomes of A having all the African countries taken over again by European interests or B the other way ’round – the only way to do this might be invasion, which is a very risky tactic – far better tactic to simply take over (a share of) Europe’s wealth through immigration instead, right?
