Should a teenager go on a diet?
You need to know fat contains twice as many calories as protein or carbs, so it does make a difference whether you eat 2,000 calories worth of fatty things like ice-cream or vegetables. I do think if you are at your perfect weight you can pretty much forget about “dieting” and how many calories you consume. Eating healthily should be a life thing not a diet thing. So long as you get a good amount of exercise (the kind the average fit 13 year old gets) you can just relax and enjoy your childhood. You know if you feel fit & healthy and your clothes fit nicely so you don’t need to worry about numbers. Throw out the scales and enjoy life!
