Missunderstood is clearly misunderstood. (The first girl who posted). Part of the service of cutting your hair is to wash it also. You must be going to a really cheapy place, or a very unprofessinal hairstylist if he/she isn’t washing before cutting and styling. Or…you are paying $10 for just a cut. You don’t have to ask for them to wash your hair- it’s part of the services of a wash, cut and basic style. You should go to another hair salon if this one isn’t washing your hair. BTW, the only reason they would do a “dry cut” first then wash after is if you’re getting hair color done.
