I want to say that I am not a dentist. But I went through the same thing with my son when he was 9. He was so scared to go to the dentist when he was young, we didn’t want to force him. He would freak out just sitting in the chair. When I finally got him to cooperate he had 14 teeth that needed fixing, most were baby teeth. The dentist explained that some of those baby teeth should still be in there till 12 years old or so. and the others could become infected. He showed me an article of a 13 year old boy in Baltimore that actually died from a cavity. Apparently they can become so infected that the infection and poison can go to the brain. Now, I don’t want to scare you to death with that, but it is true. My son had to go into a hospital and be put to sleep to fix all his teeth at once, the rear teeth have metal caps on them. The good news is…he is 10 now, he went for his last check up in December, he had NO cavities and had a good experience at the dentist. His anxiety has dropped n
