its not good for a child to start playing video games at a young age, between the years of 1-6 is the childs best time to learn things that are going to stick in their minds and it determines their outcome in life. So maybe you should teach your kid about imagination, build him a fort outside tell him to play war, or to swing and catch stars one night.

my son is 5 and he could probably out game any child hes very smart every kid plays video games and the parents who say no are boring and keeping their kids from normalcy

No, I don’t think he should be playing video games for that long at that age. If your mother won’t listen to you, then maybe you can try hiding your Xbox while you’re gone. If he can’t find it, he can’t play it.

I think yes. Because I read an article today saying that if you play fast playing games and/or shooting games, you actually STRENGTHEN your eyesight. But the article does say to not play many racing games because it may cause you to become a little aggressive.

My 5year old has an xbox but he isnt allowed to play it for no 2-3hours a day and he has age appropriate games. There are no cuss words or violence in his games. If your mother is letting him play them i guess there isnt much you can do.
