Shemaroo is going to have its third animated release this year, so what is the strategy that the company is following when it comes to animation?
At Shemaroo we always have a sustained strategy, so every year we come up with at least two releases. That‘s what we have been doing for the last two years now, ‘Bal Ganesh‘ released on October 2007 and after that ‘Ghatotkatch‘ came. Panga Gang was supposed to release in May this year but that didn‘t happen due to the strike of multiplexes. But ‘Bal Ganesh‘ is going to release, so it is like in a span of 2 years we have four movies. In terms of content, we started with mythology just like the west where they started with fairy tales or their religious tales. In India mythology is what is working so initially it is like we do what works right away then we have some non mythological content as well in the pipeline.
