Shawn Mitchell Storms Out Of Pinnocol Hearings: Where Does It Rank Other Colorado Legislative Misbehavior?
On Friday, State Senator Shawn Mitchell stormed out of a session of the Colorado State Legislature aimed at approving legislation reforming the quasi-state-owned insurance company Pinnacol. This came a few weeks after Mitchell advised a witness at the hearings to imagine the Committee Chairwoman, Senator Morgan Carroll, in her underwear to quell nervousness. The committee ultimately approved the pending bills on a straight party line, taking them one step closer to a vote in the General Assembly. Mitchell’s behavior may be eyebrow-raising to some, but it’s only the latest in a history of bizarre behavior from Colorado legislators. We’ve assembled a list of some recent weird antics from years past. Vote for the wackiest behavior below. var oSlideshowPoll = new SlideshowPoll(); oSlideshowPoll.entry_category = “denver”; oSlideshowPoll.current_slidenumber = 0; oSlideshowPoll.entry_id = 326654; oSlideshowPoll.permalink = “”; oSlideshowPoll.accept_advertising = 0; oSlideshowPoll.is_anonymous
