Shall i remove my wisdom tooth its not bothering me?
You need to visit and ask a dentist to see if it is necessary to remove the tooth. The reason for this is that if you tooth is impacting the surrounding teeth (growing at an unusual angle), it needs to be removed otherwise you will suffer from future, more painful problems. http://www.webmd.com/oral-health/wisdom-…
When I was about 20 years old, my dentist took some xrays and then suggested that I have my wisdom teeth removed. I never went back to the dentist after that. I am now 44 years old and never had my wisdom teeth removed. To a man with a hammer, everything looks like a nail. To a dentist, everyone….well, you get my drift.
They may not be bothering you now but they will usually get impacted eventually. The longer you wait the more painful the process will be. However the surgery you need is seriously expensive without proper insurance. ($2-3k) So that might be a consideration for you. I would say it’s worth it though.
i have mine, one has come through almost sideways, but it doesnt look bad, doesnt hurt and i have been advise by the dentist herself that if its not bothering me, leave it alone. they do not need to be removed unless problems occur. you can speak to your dentist about it, just get an xray and they can tell you if they are comming through correctly, and if any problems are likely to occur, this way, you do not need any needles, they are just looking…via xray..
Many dentists will tell you to have them taken out, even if they are not bothering you, because they “might” in the future – either because of how they can crowd your other teeth, they can easily get cavities because they are full of crevices, or they are harder to take care of, including the gums around them. If you are taking really good care of your teeth (flossing, brushing, mouthwash daily) you can probably get away with keeping them. But if you are already having problems, you might want to get them removed before they cause further issues and require serious surgery. I wasn’t having problems with mine but had them taken out. I probably wouldn’t do it again and instead wait and see. Try to find a dentist who knows the visits are stressful for you also.
