Sewell and Lloyd handled the incident well… why couldnt the other Hawthorn players and staff?
With the maturity that Sewell displayed after his surgery and that there are no hard feelings over the incident, he acknowledged the risks of football and I applaude him for his comments. It shows that Sewell is not made in the Hawthorn mold, he showed that he has class, something which was lacking by their coach and other players after the game. Lloyd accepted his punishment as a man should, I’m not going to bag him for what happened. But what I did notice before the incident was that he did get a fair nudge by Shoenmakers toward the contest, so maybe Sewells own team mate should maybe take part of the blame.
