Anders Matten appears in the spin off I wrote, “The Vanishing of Archie Gray”. I wanted to have unsolved links throughout to make the story seem even larger than these three books could contain. In the back of my mind, I’d like to think there were three men named Matten: Anders Matten, the Mr. Matten who owned a lot of real estate, and I fancy having the third Matten be the mysterious gentleman of the rail.
