Several journals are now requiring microarray data to be submitted to a data repository. What is this and what is required?
The Nature journals now require that all microarray data be deposited into a repository to allow others to retrieve or analyze the data. The concept is similar to that required for sequence data submissions into GenBank. There is a convention emerging for the types of information required that is called MIAME: the Minimal Information About a Microarray Experiment.
