NTIA’s primary objective is development and maintenance of the National Broadband Map, therefore, while substantially complete data is due to NTIA by February 1, 2010, applicants that choose to develop a state map are not required to complete it or provide a link to it by that date. However, if an applicant proposes to develop a state map, an aggressive timeline and expedient development is encouraged.
