• Centrally provisioned accounts. When a NetID is created, it will be reflected in CornellAD. • Central deprovisioning. When a NetID is deleted or disabled, that change will be reflected in CornellAD. • Central management of account data. All the data (names, address, type etc) changes are managed centrally so that data regarding a NetID is the same across all the systems (including SunOne, CornellAD, and PeopleSoft.) • Tie-ins to central authentication and authorization systems. Users will no longer have to remember different userid and password combinations for services that rely on Active Directory for authentication. User can authenticate to CornellAD using their NetID and associated password and automatically have access to services, such as Exchange, after the initial log on. • Administrators will no longer need to maintain domain controllers.
