see front page link). Q.: Is RAIN audio available on satelite?
No. In 1993 RAIN Founder/Producer Hap Holly, KC9RP, licensed satellite distribution of RAIN programming to This Week in Amateur Radio (TWIAR), a production of Community Video Associates Inc. of Albany, New York. In 1997 Holly licensed exclusive Internet audio distribution and archiving rights of RAIN programming to M. Bohnhoff, Inc. Later that same year M. Bohnhoff, Inc. and Holly agreed to allow TWIAR to include RAIN as part of its audio wave files on the InterNet. At that point there was no discussion about the possible eventuality of TWIAR audio being distributed and archived at multiple web sites. In late April, 1998, it was determined that TWIAR was inadvertently violating its verbal licensing agreement with Holly by archiving RAIN audio on the Internet. TWIAR elected to delete the RAIN Report from its weekly satellite program.
