Classrooms Classrooms are ordinarily classified entirely as Instruction. An explanation will be required when classrooms are classified as Sponsored/Organized Research. Conference rooms These rooms should be allocated to program classifications according to the people that are using the rooms. For example, if Room 0001 is used for meetings/conferences of a particular lab/group within a department, then the space within that room should be allocated between program classifications according to the activities of that lab/group. If the room is used by a wide array of departmental activities, however, then the space should be classified as Joint Use. Remember that departmental Joint Use space is allocated to program classification based on departmental salaries/wages percentages by program classification.
