• Err 09: SYSTEM DESCRIPTION: This error occurs when the EOS D30’s self-checking system processing time has exceeded the specified limit. This error can occur when several switches are pressed at the same time. REMEDIAL MEASURE: Because this error is caused by abnormal operation, try releasing the error by turning the main power switch OFF and then back ON. If this does not solve the problem, have the EOS D30 examined by a qualified service technician. • Err 10: SYSTEM DESCRIPTION: This error occurs if there is an internal malfunction detected during the camera’s self-checking procedure that’s executed before every attempted exposure. This is somewhat similar to the flashing ‘BC’ warning that occasionally appears on EOS-1 series 35mm SLRs. Please note that Canon considers Error 10 to be an unusual error that’s not supposed to happen.
