Secondly, what is the difference between the ropes challenge course and “high ropes” Are high ropes considered part of the ropes challenge course?
A description of the activities from Challenges Unlimited does explain the risks. I would include the fact that the students will be receiving instruction from qualified instructors. A “Ropes Challenge Course/Program” usually consists of several elements including : High Ropes, Low Ropes, Climbing Wall and other elements such as “Spider’s Web”, Log Balance, and Balance Line/Wire …… The term “High Ropes” is also somewhat intimidating and so the less daunting and more “educationally acceptable “label” Challenge Course” is frequently substituted!
