Halibut is open all year, King salmon closes on July 31st, Trout opens on June 11th, Silver salmon closes November 1st. The Kenai River is closed to guided fishing on Sunday & Monday in May, June, & July. The river is also closed on Mondays in August & September. The river is open for shore fishing year round.
