Screenography won start when I hit the hot key combination. What should I do?

First make sure you launch Screenography from the Finder which will start the program running in the background. Now when you hit the hot key combination (by default set to Command + Shift + 5) the screen should dim and you should now see the main dialog window where you can choose to capture the Screen, and Object or a Movie.
