Scared to fly ryanair – is it dangerous?
I fly with them 8 times in a year and I have never had any problems. As far as safety goes they are as safe as any other airline that I have used. Ryanair has never had a fatal accident.
I have been flying as a flight attendant for 13 years now with both Uk carriers and foreign carriers. I also have a lot of friends that are both pilots, crew and ground engineers for Ryanair. They are just as safe as any UK operator. I think they are still under Irish regulations, but that makes no difference as they like the UK are some of the safest and strictest regulations in the world. I would have no reason to doubt flying with them at all. There is as much risk flying with them as with any operator under the same regs. I have seen many many people on board an aircraft who are frightened of flying and I know that no matter what anyone says to you it does not take the fear away. I can tell you though that the people that make that aircraft get into the air and back down again safely are highly trained. They of all people do not want anything to go wrong. Ofcourse Ryanair are safe. 1. They are a European airline, all European airlines have to meet the same safety standards. So wither you are flying with British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Spanair or Ryanair, they are all as safe as each other. 2. Ryanair have never had a major incident in there entire history. This is proves how safe they are considering they operate more flights every day than any other airline. 3. Ryanair are Europe’s biggest airline. They carry more passengers every year than anyone else, nearly 70 million people would not chose to fly with an airline if they were unsafe. 4. Stop watching stuff on YouTube. You will only make your fear worse!
It’s as safe as any other airline, That means very safe. No need to worry. The worst thing I could say about Ryan air is that it keeps the price down by making everything but the very basic optional and expensive. I swear they would make inside space optional and have you fly outside, holding to the plane wings with your hands if they could. It’s still cheap and very safe. There are very strict rules regulating the safety measures that any plane flying in europe is subject to. You can sit comfortably knowing that your flight will be disturbed only by flight attendants trying to sell you newspapers, food,drink, lottery tickets, bus tickets and whatever else they can imagine.
