Saturn SL2 exhaust problems and overheating?

My 93 SL2 has a few problems. I’ll focus on two. The exhaust manifold pipe is unhooked from the flexpipe. I heard something about liquid lead…? Would that do the trick of sealing it back in there? Also, it could be related to this, perhaps from exhaust going straight up into the engine, the engine is running very hot compared to normal. I’m worried about it overheating. All the fluid levels are fine. A: 1. Get the pipe fixed. Liquid lead won’t do it… Go to a shop and get a new pipe … temperatures can be in excess of 1000C! 2. Overheating: Once you get your pipes fixed, check for a fouled plug 3. Please don’t leave it idling… a) Carbon monoxide will KILL you… Idling in city traffic will not allow the fumes to vent properly… b) idling with a fouled plug and an open exhaust over extended time is a recipe for calling the fire department!!! I guarantee you no car company ever tests that condition!!!
