SatinFill Stitch. What is that?
As shown above: standard fill stitch stitches back and forth in the same direction until the stitch area is filled in; Satin stitch stitches perpendicular to the column in long single stitches changing direction as the column does: SatinFill stitches in the same manner as Satin Stitch but uses multiple stitches across the column rather than long single stitches. It’s technically called auto column pattern fill by most digitizing software—SatinFill is my short description. I generally use SatinFill when doing fonts that won’t be outline stitched and are too large for traditional satin stitch—-it gives a more finished look than standard fill stitch.
