S ON THE SCOPE OF THE DIRECTIVE What is the scope of the R&TTE Directive?
The R&TTE Directive establishes a regulatory framework for placing on the market, free movement and putting into service of radio equipment and telecommunications terminal equipment (R&TTE) in the Community. A number of types of equipment are exempted from the Directive: equipment exclusively used for non-civil purposes and equipment covered by other Community instruments.
