The Career Academy at Truman offers a true alternative to students who would like to experience a smaller, more personal learning environment that emphasizes finding your “true calling” and learning through real-world job opportunities. In their freshman and sophomore years, students take core academic classes and start the process of a career focus by taking DigiTools and Career Choices. In their junior and senior years, students finish the requirements for a diploma while enjoying a flexible schedule that allows them to explore an exciting array of experiences in the real world of work.
