S AA K Wheel-to-Wheel side tubes are “always frame mounted”. Why is that so important?
Our Wheel-to-Wheel side tubes are frame mounted to ensure rigidity from front to back. By frame mounting our side tubes, we are able to offer a rear support bracket near the end of the tube that provides support when accessing the truck bed or tool box. Because the truck cab and truck bed move independently on the truck frame, a body-mounted full length side tube if mounted to the cab and bed would likely fail (as our competitors have found out), resulting in creaking and potentially structural breakdowns in either the body pan or the side tube brackets.
