Rust in the inside chamber of a microwave oven, is it dangerous?

i think that there is a shield for the microwave transmitter – the microwave energy will not be as efficient if there is a hole in the cooking chamber as the energy bounces about the chamber and agitates the food – right now the rust may absorb some of the energy and it may take longer for the food to cook but if you see it sparking inside turn it off and gte a new microwave – if you are shaky about the microwave get a new one if you can afford it.
