Running the Save Album Art or Remove Duplicates utility tools crashes TuneRanger. What is causing this and how do I fix it?
The likely cause is some kind of corruption in your iTunes library or in a specific music or video file in your default iTunes music folder. This folder is defined in “iTunes->Preferences->Advanced->General->iTunes Music folder location.” The solution is to rebuild your iTunes Library first and see if that helps. Apple has a Tech Note that explains how to do this here http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1451. Do this on all your iTunes-running computers. If the problem is a specific file and not the library, then it gets significantly harder to track down. It’s basically a process of elimination and then removing that file from the album art action list by checking it off until TuneRanger stops crashing.
