Romans 5 How does grace much more abound where sin abounds?
It’s just that the Holy Spirit is directing our paths to overcome and we can overcome. We are overcomers according to Romans 8:37 and I John 5:4-5, and 4:4. Jesus overcame the world (John 16:33) and he told us not to fear and he gave us the authority to overcome all odds (Luke 10:19). Our lights (the light of Jesus in us) shine brighter in dark places. Romans 8:37 says: But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. (NASB) Luke 10:19 says: Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and against all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall injure you. (NASB) There are many places in the book of Acts where the early church overcame many things. Because of their prayers, Saul of Tarsus was meant by Jesus on the way to Damascus and his whole life was totally transformed. Before that he had been a persecutor of the Church.
