You have already paid the Right of Landing ROL fee!!!! The ROL fee is the OLD NAME for the Right of permanent Residence fee AND the Principle Applicant fee ( 490 + 475 = $965) The $975 was the old fee before 2006 when the original fee used to be $500 application fee PLUS $975 (total = $1475) Family Class applicants Sponsorship application (per application) $75 Principal applicant $475 For the acquisition of permanent resident status $490 See link below for details The person who said they didnt pay for it – does not know what she is talking about. ALL applicants are required to pay the fee – no matter what visa they are applying for. Perhaps her spouse paid it and didnt bother to tell her. I paid the OLD ROL fee for an inside application. We paid $500 up front when we applied and then we paid the other $975 some time later (this was before 2006) but before the entire process was complete. When I landed as a PR, I got a refund.
