Not in the least. Students can (and do) move freely between degrees in their first two years, and that is a special strength of the Scottish four year degree system. All Biology degrees have the same asking rate, and many students will apply for (say) C100 Biology and decide whether they want to do a degree in Biochemistry or Marine Biology once they have started their degree. There are no separate quotas for specific Biology degrees.
