Respiratory Meds: Who should chart respiratory medications?

0

Respiratory Therapists should now document these medications in the EMAR. If an RN charts the medication (as was often done prior to Care Transformation), it appears that the RN administered it, when it was actually delivered by the Respiratory Therapist. The only exception to this would be when an MDI inhaled medication is transferred to nursing via protocol.
