Replacing two piece driveshaft centre support 88 gmc? Does anyone have any tips on how to replace this part in a 88 gmc sierra ext pick up truck im going to attempt to do it myself yeaa. p.s. and if anyone could tell me why this might have failed thank you everyone Additional Details 6 hours ago What if i replace the entire shaft with one from another vehicle same make model would that work A: If you are replacing the entire shaft with the same type and out of essentially the same truck yes it will be fine, to replace the carrier bearing only separate the two halfs and then press the bearing off in a press supported with a bearing separator, you will need to press the new on on as well.
