Removing Fabric Softener Buildup?

The vinegar should work – as a side note, I have kind of decided that fabric softener is a hoax. I don’t use it, except occassionally in the winter in small amounts when static gets to be a problem. But my clothes are softer without it. When I used fabric ‘softener’ all the time, my clothes just felt kind of gluey or greasy, and no, I didn’t use as much as they said I should use, I used way less and cut it with water. Plus, if you use it on towels or diapers, it prevents the fabric from absorbing water, which is what those things are supposed to do!
