A. If the defendant is at a large custody facility such as Twin Towers in Los Angeles County or West Valley Detention Center in San Bernardino County, the release process can take up to 12 hours. If the defendant is at a booking station such as a local police department that accepts bail bonds or a small holding facility such as a Sheriffs substation, the release process is much faster, usually around 45 minutes.
