A long time font issue for the web has been the ability for the end user to control the font. Internet Explorer does have this feature, but you must find the option in its second level menu. This is time consuming, frustrating and often difficult for new users. How would you like your web visitors to be able to change the size of the font as they surf your site? What if it was as easy as clicking a + or a – to enlarge or shrink the font size? Now a user can adjust font based on gathering information or serious reading, independent of browser setting or display setting. Sound interesting? Well here is what we found. A number of sites have implemented CSS and JavaScript along with a plus and minus button that the user can simply click on to increase or decrease font size.
