The Survey of Plant Capacity Utilization provides current data on the rates of capacity utilization in U.S. manufacturing plants. The Survey collects information annually from approximately 17,000 manufacturing sites with more than 5 employees. The answers to these Census Bureau questions may be available from the facility or corporate financial department. While data is reported on the Census Bureau survey for one quarter; DHS is seeking an estimate of the data for a one-year period.
