Regarding materials used to construct trailers, which steel qualifies as Hi-Tensile Steel?

A. The term “High-Tensile” (as with most everything else now a days) has been stretched to cover anything stronger than Mild Steel. Put simply, decades ago anything less than 100,000 lbs. min yield did not qualify as “Hi-Tensile Steel”, now it does. We at TWAMCO consider T-1 or equal steel as Hi-Tensile steel, anything below T-1 or equal will be labeled what it is and not as Hi-Tensile. Be cautious with sellers and ask questions!
