Reduced Course Loads (RCL): I am an International student on an F-1 visa, can I attend part time in my final semester?
• Student may request an RCL. The student must: • Submit an RCL form: www.issso.uh.edu/PDF/RCL_Graduate_Students.pdf • Students may not route RCL forms themselves. RCL forms must be submitted to a Graduate Advisor in the ASC for routing. • Apply to graduate online through PeopleSoft • Important notes: • RCL requests will not be processed without an active application to graduate • Allow six weeks for RCL processing • The College of Technology does not approve 2nd RCL requests without an approved General Petition. Criteria for an approved petition include one of two scenarios: 1. Circumstances beyond your control (i.e. hurricane, cancer) or 2. Award winning, exceptional research.
