Recreation Members: Who attends UCP’s Recreation programs?
All activities are available to teens and adults with physical and developmental disabilities, and a variety of visual, hearing, and speech impairments. Members of the Recreation Program have a wide range of disabilities, such as cerebral palsy, autism, head trauma, Down Syndrome, spinal cord injuries, mental health difficulties, a diagnosis of mental retardation, or any condition that limits a person’s independence. Over 175 members with a variety of ages and interests participate in the Recreation Program each year.
