The class action lawsuit against Enron and other defendants is moving forward. The various suits on behalf of Enron employees have been consolidated into a single suit, and was filed April 8, 2002. Recently, Judge Melinda Harmon appointed Steve Berman of Hagens Berman to lead the legal actions on behalf of the participants in the plan, designating him as co-lead counsel. The court also set a schedule for the Enron case to move forward. The judge, in her order, set a very fast pace for the proceedings to move forward, stating that the eyes of the nation are on this Court and it was in everyones best interest to move things along at a fast pace.
