receiving special treatment on Romenesko or elsewhere on Poynter Online?
When reporting in Poynter publications about the Times, Congressional Quarterly or other operations owned by Times Publishing, we do our best to disclose Poynter’s relationship (even if it sometimes bogs down the copy). When unfavorable reports are published about the Times — or any of its related operations, including Poynter — we encourage Romenesko to approach such reports as independently as possible. In light of the pain we sometimes cause other news organizations by linking to unfavorable reports about them, its only fair that we apply the same standards to Poynter and its affiliates.
