Reasonably priced, clean hotel in midtown or theater district Manhattan and which is better Carnegie or Katz?
The Days Inn Hotel on 8th and 48th I believe is a great hotel near all of the theaters. There are also several restaurants right across the street and I’d suggest eating at the Olympia Diner. Nothing fancy but good food at very reasonable prices. I think there is also a chinese take-out place across the street as well. Another hotel I stayed in was the Herald Square Hotel obviously at Herald Square. Nothing fancy whatsoever and small rooms but it was clean and it didn’t kill my bank account. It’s within walking distance from the train station. The Holiday Inn in midtown is reasonable, nice and a great staff! The doorman got us a stretch limousine to take us out to dinner for the same price as a cab would have cost. He was great.
